I [finally] caved in.
Hi there! I am Judy G. For the longest time, my friends have been encouraging me to create my own food blog, since I have this habit of constantly posting photos of goodies that I’ve baked/cooked. No arguments there…I’m guilty as charged! 😀
I have so many reasons not to do it. One being, well, I’m not a professional chef/cook/baker/recipe developer/food nutritionist/culinary expert. I’m just a self-proclaimed foodie and a serious food hobbyist, who happens to like eating [good] food, experimenting with flavors, and have a passion for baking and cooking. Second, I’m not very articulate. I can only describe edibles with words such as yummy and tasty when they could have been illustrated as luscious, exquisite, and mouth-watering. I need [gazillions!] of inspiration [plus a wide range of vocabulary], which of course, doesn’t visit me quite as often as I’d like. I’d rather eat than write! Third, there’s already a lot out there. No need for another one! Fourth, I’m scared of [rude, tactless, harsh] criticisms. I know how unforgiving the cyber world can be. Fifth, uhmm…
I’m stepping up to the plate and taking on this new challenge!
This blog is mainly a compilation of recipes, which I have adapted from various foodies alike. There are some I have accidentally invented, which luckily turned out successfully delish [thank God!]. I have personally tried and tested each recipe, only with a tweak or two, so that they cater to my own palate. Every cake or cookie or casserole have all been just garnished with my own personal twist.
Incidentally, the title of this blog happens to be derived from my initials. Well…let’s just say it’s purely coincidental. 😉
